C-26 Exclusion of CHE in Willie Ann Glenn Summer Food Service Requirements

Issue/Rationale

Based on the Willie Ann Glenn Act the District is required to have summer feeding at schools with >50% free and reduced participation. Based on our current free and reduced percentages the following schools will have a summer feeding program: CEB, WEC, KHHS, MBE. The request to exclude CHE from requirements is based on location and logistics. The school is located in a rural area and student participation is expected to be minimal. Federal reimbursement for this school is not expected to cover food, labor and electricity costs.

Recommended Action
Approve exclusion of CHE from requirement.
